The Hague-based artist Marleen Sleeuwits plays tricks with our vision. How do we perceive a space? What do we actually see? And what information do our brains fill in? In the new exhibition Enter the Cube, Sleeuwits establishes a dialogue with the work of the famous American Minimalist artist Sol LeWitt (1928-2007). The work of both artists investigates the boundaries of perspective and how we experience space. Inspired by LeWitt’s works in which he endlessly explored the shape of a cube, Sleeuwits has built a colourful site-specific three-dimensional installation. Visitors are invited to enter the cube and wander through the seemingly infinite space.

Both born in 1969 and living in Barcelona, Anna Cabrera and Angel Albarrán have been working together for more than twenty years and form a rising duo on the photographic scene. Together, they develop a photographic universe, poetic and sensible where the emotion of the subject meets the beauty of the print. Questioning identity and the traces the camera keeps of the past, their various open series evoke our relationship with time and memory and our perception of the photographic image between reality and illusion.
